Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park was reputed as the world's longest underground river until the discovery of the underground river in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula in 2007. 

In 2011, this natural attraction in Palawan was chosen as one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.
