Change is inevitable and much of it can be unpleasant. We either resist it or roll with it. Thankfully, there's another approach to this universal fact of life. In an ever-changing world, we can trust that God remains the same. Instead of fearing the unknown, we can live in humble dependence upon God and His providence. 

The new year is sure going to surprise us with both desirable and unwelcome changes. It won't always be good just as it won't always be bad. As the world keeps moving, it will also keep changing. Nothing here is secure.  

But the God who's been faithful to us in the past, the one who's been with us in 2016 will continue to walk with us this 2017.

God doesn't change and can't be changed. His love for you and me that was manifested on the cross of Calvary is the same love we can depend on through varying seasons of life.

I don't know what's in store for me this 2017 but the assurance that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever gives me courage to say, bring it on, 2017! Have a happy new year, everyone!
